Nowadays, people always throw old things away and buy new things, whereas in the past, old things were repaired and used again. What factors cause this phenomenon? What effects does the phenomenon lead to?

As economy is advancing by leaps and bounds, the attitude people adopt towards consumption has undergone a noticeable and far-reaching transformation. Under this circumstance, they are inclined to(have the inclination to) discard broken things rather than repair them. Hence, it is imperative(necessary) that we should analyze possible reasons giving rise to(trigger) this phenomenon objectively and figure out potential effects( on——)   (缘由影响) // and figure out effective remedies/solutions.（缘由办法） // and figure out its boons as well as its banes.（缘由概念/利弊）

From my own perspective,  the causes of this phenomenon are manifold. For one thing, people in increasing number are equipped with enough financial ability to replace old things if/provided/supposing they think these items are worn-out or out of fashion. Undoubtedly(it goes beyond any doubt that), higher income allows to enjoy more freedom to pursue new products regardless of the price. For another, people's tendency to follow the fashion should be taken into account. To be specific/To illustrate a case in point is that /, which could be further illustrated with the example that some of them compete over material things by squandering money on new clothes, shoes and electronic appliances.

It has to be admitted that this throw-away lifestyle, to some extent, promotes the sales, stimulates the consumption and then boost economic prosperity. However, much heavier weight should be attached to negative influences brought about by this phenomenon. Initially, due to the increasing demand for new products, the consumption of fuels and raw materials rises at an astonishing(amazing) rate , which will trigger shortage of energy and resources. In addition, the proper disposal of wastes is a thorny problem many countries have to be confronted with on the grounds that(for the reason that) these wastes often cause pollution to air, water and soil, deteriorating the environment of our planet.
